Course overview
This course has 8 hours of video content and 6–8 hours of exercises. You need access to the Oracle Primavera P6 Professional application during the training and exercises. Building on Level I, you will further your P6 skills on your own project.
Prerequisite: our Primavera P6 Level I course or equivalent.
Intended audience: project managers, project engineers and project schedulers.
Topics covered
- Constraints: how to apply and understand the different types of constraints.
- Critical path: what the critical path is and how to identify the activities on it.
- Lump sum cost resources: creating and applying lump sum cost to activities.
- Baselines: establishing, viewing and comparing baselines.
- Updates and tracking progress: updating to track progress and forecast project finish.
- Activity codes: organizing, summarizing and grouping activities.
- Enterprise Project Structure: organizing and grouping projects within P6.
- Calendars: creating and assigning calendars for the needs of the project.
- Global changes: modifying a large number of activities at once.
- Excel export and import: the capabilities and limits of moving activity data.
Course details
- Online access: 30 days from first sign-in.
- Assignments: 4 assignments graded by the instructor. Each must be completed and graded before you continue to the next module. They take 6–8 hours, in addition to the video time.
- Completion time: the course cannot be completed in 1–2 days; the average student finishes in 5–7 days.
- Refunds: full refunds are offered only for cancellations before Module 3.
