Online Course Overview
This online course is for contractors, military and government employees who enforce or must comply to the EM 385-1-1 US Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health requirements. This online forty (40) hour training course provides information relative to the 2024 US Army Corps Safety and Health Requirements Manual. Compliance with the 2024 USACE EM 385-1-1 is required of all contractors working on military contracts and projects, and this course is the building block to that success.
This training includes 23 required chapters (which will be included in the final exam. In addition to the required training above, we have included (14) optional training modules that you can review to gain a better understanding of the EM 385-1-1 safety requirements (which will not be included in the final exam).
*Note: This online course does not include an OSHA 30 – Construction card.
Upon the completion of this course (80% passing score on the 80-question open book final exam), you will receive an EM 385-1-1 certificate that is valid for 5 years.

Language: This course is taught in English and requires active participation discussing training topics with the class. It is required that you are proficient in understanding, speaking, and writing in English to participate and complete this course.
EM 385-1-1 Course Overview
This 40-Hour EM 385-1-1 course is crucial for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment on military jobsites. We provide information relative to the 2024 US Army Corps Safety and Health Requirements Manual, EM385-1-1 and pertinent Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction standards. The course includes 40+ hours of training material (24 hours of multimedia presentation and 16 hours of assignments/quizzes). After each course module, a short quiz must be completed to check your knowledge. At the end of the course, you will take a Final Exam consisting of 80 questions which you must score 80% or higher to pass the course. After completing the Final Exam, you can print out your certificate which is valid for 5 years from course completion.

Does the EM 385-1-1 40 Hour come with a certificate of completion?
You will be able to print your course completion certificate after successfully passing the final exam.

What is the length of this course?
This online 40-Hour training consists of 24 hours of multimedia presentations and 16 hours of assignments and quizzes. Depending on your level of experience, this course can take up to 44 – 48 hours to complete.
Are there any quizzes other than the final exam?
Yes, there are end of training module quizzes that must be completed prior to proceeding to the next training module. You have two attempts to complete the quiz with a passing grade. If you do not pass on both attempts the instructor will coordinate with you to reset the module quiz.
What happens if I do not pass the final exam?
Unfortunately, there are no retakes on the final exam. You will have to redo the training. When you are ready, re-enroll in the online course and pay the full enrollment fee. Please note that once you complete the course and pass the final exam, we will refund you $150.00 at course completion after you pass the final exam.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds may be requested within seven (7) days of course registration for a full refund of the training fee. Requests made after this period will be eligible for a 50% refund only. Please email info@kugan.com with your refund request.
